<p>This workshop is the perfect opportunity to gain a detailed insight into running the television studio in a lot of varied roles. The workshop will cover OH&amp;S, Lighting (programming sequences), Sound (various microphones, patching, inner ear fold-back), Camera (connection, lenses, cables), Autocue Operation, Vision (vision switching, CCU, Transmission), and Control Room Audio (audio desk, audio paths).</p>

<p>Mr James Gormley is a long-standing RMITV member working on many shows in various capacities – including being Technical Director and Technical Producer for RMITV&#8217;s Flagship productions (Studio A and Live On Bowen). James has completed a Diploma of Audio Visual Technology. He has been employed by the RMIT Studio as a Television Studio Technician.<br />

RMIT is famous for producing some of the most talented media personalities and media makers in the country. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>This workshop is aimed to be a basic introduction to new RMITV members or older members wanting to gain overall knowledge about the studio. When starting out it’s hard to know the difference between the lighting desk and the audio desk or which end of the camera you’re meant to be at… Come along to ease yourself into being in the TV Studio environment.</p>
<p>Mr Craig Young is the RMIT TV Studio Manager making him an expert in the studio, a person every RMITV member will get to know whilst crewing. He has an extensive history in the television industry making him the perfect person to explain the RMIT TV Studio to you.</p>
<p>This workshop is designed to include some demonstrations of equipment. Topics covered will be technical training on elements of the studio and operation of audio, lights, cameras, CCU, switching, graphics and VT. It will also have a brief Occupational Health and Safety talk (mandatory for any new RMITV Member) and a tour of the studios, the control rooms, the green room and equipment area.</p>

For those of you interested in learning about producing your own show through RMITV for C31, come along to our &#8220;Produce Your Own Show&#8221; workshop! The workshop will be run by Rhys Tate, RMITV Programming Manager, and Fergus in Hell creator/writer/producer.</p>
<div>This workshop will cover why you should produce with us, what we can provide you with by way of resources and support, the process of producing a pilot with us, the ins and outs of writing your Program Proposal (including a budget, rundown and production timeline) and some hot tips on how to increase your chances of approval. This is an absolute &#8216;do-not-miss!&#8217; opportunity for students who want to get their idea for a television show off the ground and places are limited so get in quick and RSVP today!Presenter: Rhys Tate, RMITV Programming Manager<br />

<p>RMITV is an active department of RUSU and is your very own student television production facility, creating content for C31 Melbourne and giving you as students hands on experience in television production.</p>
<p>The second in our workshops series for the year, Introduction to Studio Operations is a great chance to get an overview of the Building 12 Television Studio and the types of roles available on RMITV Productions. Run by Kye Lewis, one of our longest standing members, the workshop will provide a hands on</p>
<div>learning environment for new RMIT University students to try out various roles and become familiar with the studio. Kye’s previous roles have included technical producer for former Flagship production Studio A as well as being a paid Studio Technician.This workshop will cover basic Occupational Health and Safety, a tour of the Studio and surrounds, use of wireless microphones, camera operation, floor managing, cable wrangling and understanding directions from the control room.</p>
